Otwarty IKM (Open CCI) is a programme for the citizens of Gdańsk, NGOs, informal groups, activists, and institutions. It is to help them organise cultural, socio-cultural, or educational and cultural events in the CCI Vestibule. The CCI provides professional help from its employees, and, if necessary, financial support (up to 500 PLN). You can submit your ideas until the 10 th of each month. More info at: www.ikm.gda.pl/otwarty-ikm

How does the CCI help?

On Mondays and Fridays, from 10 am to 10 pm, we give you the access to the Vestibule, a projector and a screen, seats and tables, and dewar flasks and mugs. You can get support from our employee and some money (max. 500 PLN). We can include your event in our monthly CCI information booklet and on our website www.ikm.gda.pl/otwarty-ikm/

What’s left for you to do?

Operating the equipment, providing hot drinks and food for participants, taking care of additional equipment and materials needed for a project, advertising and finding participants, making sure your event in the Vestibule will not be a problem for other institutions and offices located in the tenement house at Długi Targ 39/40, as well as cleaning up after yourselves.

How to become an organiser through Otwarty IKM?

Says coordinator Katarzyna Buczek:

‘Come up with an idea for an activity that can be carried out in the Vestibule. Go to www.ikm.gda.pl/otwarty-ikm, and fill in the form and the budget estimate. Remember to submit your application until the 10 th of each month. Prepare your event, advertise it and find participants. Then make it happen at the CCI. Remember that by the end of the month you need to submit to the CCI any invoices and/or bills for lectures/workshops. After three months, you can apply again!
