Literary Residencies – project that has been running since 2021 in Gdansk. It is directed to writers and translators from Poland, as well as authors from Belarus and Ukraine.Recruitment is open to authors from Poland, Belarus and Ukraine, and to translators from Poland who meet the following criteria:
  • have at least one book, a volume of poetry or a translation published in print,
  • can communicate in Polish, English or Russian,
  • are currently working on a literary project.
From the submitted applications the residents will be selected by the competition committee: Aleksandra Szymańska (The City Culture Institute), Ana Matusevič (The City Culture Institute), Isabela Morska (Literary Union Association), Małgorzata Glasenapp (Polish Literary Translators Association).The program is implemented in cooperation with Krakow (Krakow Festival Office) and Warsaw (Old House of Culture), as well as with the Literary Union and Polish Literary Translators Association.Participants of the program so far:
